In the course of discussions following the workshop, it became clear that the European library community had recommendations that they wished to make to the European Commission in order to help direct the future course of European digitisation activity. LIBER and EBLIDA made a submission to Commissioner Viviane Redding concerning these recommendations on 8 January 2008.
