The Fiesole Collection Development Retreat Series will hold its 14th Retreat at the European University Institute (EUI), Badia Fiesolana, Florence in April next year.

Fiesole 2011 was held in St Petersburg last May and counted amonst the speakers on Wouter Schallier, LIBER Executive Director, and Bas Savenije, Director General of the Royal Library of the Netherlands and Chair of LIBER's Steering Committee on Scholarly Communications.

Wouter spoke about (Primary) Data and Bas shared his views on present Pitfalls and Future Scenarios within the Open Access move. Both presentations (PDF - PPS) can be downloaded from the Fiesole 2011 website.
