The conference - to be held at the Royal Library in Copenhagen, Denmark in June 2012 - will focus on the capture, availability and re-use of research data and cultural data for the improvement of European research and innovation in open environments.

The conference is hoped to be one of the pivotal events in getting these issues to the forefront of European policy thinking as well as spawning cross-border collaborations and implementations and will count on Neelie Kroes (w. Carl-Christian Buhr) and Jill Cousins, executive director of Europeana as key note speakers.
