LIBER Annual Contribution Fees

Institutions

Open to research libraries in countries that are members of the Council of Europe and which, for this purpose, are defined as:

  • National libraries
  • University libraries
  • Libraries of institutions conducting teaching and research at a post-graduate level
  • Libraries with major research collections
  • National archives

Annual contribution: € 425,- | € 210,- (Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine)

 

NB: The  Meeting of Participants held in Barcelona on 1 July 2011 authorised the LIBER Executive Board to review the list of CEE countries entitled to receive a reduced LIBER contribution in the light of their economic progress. At its Board meeting in October 2011, the LIBER Executive Board approved the list of CEE countries to which a reduced LIBER contribution fee will continue to apply as those listed above; and the following countries will be omitted from the CEE list with effect from 2012: Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Poland, Slovak Republic and Slovenia. As a consequence, libraries in these six countries will pay the full annual insitutional or organisational contribution fee with effect from 2012.

Organisations

Open to library organisations and consortia in countries that are members of the Council of Europe and which consist of, but are not necessarily limited to, institutions as mentioned above.

The annual contribution is calculated based on the country's population:

  • a population of up to 1 million:   € 425,-  
  • a population between 1 and 25 million:  € 850,- 
  • a population above 25 million:   € 1.700,- 

Annual contribution: € 210,- for (Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia,Georgia,  Latvia, Lithuania, Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine)

 

Associates

Open to companies or consortia supplying services to research libraries as well as to libraries and/or library organisations in countries that are not members of the Council of Europe.

Annual contribution: € 520,- | € 210,- (Albania, Armenia, Belarus,  Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia,  Latvia, Lithuania, Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia,Turkey and Ukraine)

 

Individuals

Open to professional librarians who work/have worked in research libraries

Annual contribution: € 150,-

Turnovers specified above are exempt from VAT in accordance with § 4 No 20 of VAT law
