With Jeanette Frey (Switzerland), I attended the 2nd LIBER Digital Preservation Workshop in Florence, 7-8 May. We had 80 attenders and good audience participation. A great success for LIBER, who are seen to be leading discussions in Europe in this space. Read more »

The LIBER Board is delighted to announce that Leo Voogt has been appointed as Interim Director of LIBER (Association of European Research Libraries) for a period of maximum 6 months, beginning on 1 April 2012 and up to the arrival of the new Executive Director. Earlier in his career, Leo was Secretary General of IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations) and has a career in the library and information profession spanning back to 1988. NEW! Directors’ Course: Library Leadership in the 21st Century New in the 2012 edition of the Summer School is an exclusive three day Library Directors’ Course prior to the Summer School. The course is a part of a more extensive Leadership Program that will start in June 2012 and will be continued after the course. The group size of this program will be limited to 16 people.
