Opportunties for libraries in data exchange consultation survey
This survey is the follow up to a report on the opportunities presented by, and barriers to, linking data to publications. The survey aims to further clarify the role of the library in supporting data exchange and linking data to publications.
For libraries to play a meaningful role in scientific data exchange we must first understand the existing relationship between researchers who create data and their libraries. We want to establish what sort of support is being demanded by researchers of research libraries and what support is currently being offered.
By clarifying needs and roles the results of this survey will be of benefit to both researchers and libraries alike. It will allow libraries to identify what skills need to be developed and where resources need to be allocated to better support researchers in this changing environment.
