The Ligue des Bibliothèques Européennes de Recherche (LIBER) represents and promotes the interests of research libraries in Europe. It encourages the involvement of commercial firms active in the information field in support of its professional activities, and has recently developed a Sponsorship Programme of LIBER Gold Sponsors and LIBER Silver Sponsors. Through this Programme, LIBER sponsors are offered an opportunity for high visibility and close involvement with LIBER’s professional work in Europe over a time limited period, as well as receiving a wide range of specific benefits for the period of the sponsorship.

The number of LIBER Gold Sponsors is limited. The period of sponsorship for a LIBER Gold Sponsor is normally three years, although it may be extended by mutual consent.

The number of LIBER Silver Sponsors is limited. The period of sponsorship for a LIBER Silver Sponsor is normally one year, although it may be extended by mutual consent.
