Memoranda of Understanding
LIBER has developed a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at working more closely with other relevant European organisations. So far Memoranda of Understanding have been agreed with:
A MoU was signed between LIBER and CERL, the Consortium of European Research Libraries in November 2006, which aims at developing closer cooperation in the field of early books and manuscripts in Europe and at encouraging joint activities.
- DRIVER, Digital Repository Infrastructure Vision for European Research
In August 2007, a MoU was signed by LIBER and DRIVER with the aim of progressing and enhancing the provision, visibility and application of European research outputs through digital repositories.
A MoU was signed between LIBER and EBLIDA in January 2007, which aims at working closer together on areas of common interest such as IPR, mass digitization initiatives, promoting OA activities, and organising joint workshops e.g. digitisation workshop series and other events.
- e-Depot, a digital archiving environment that ensures long-term access to digital objects
In July 2007, a MoU was signed between LIBER and e-Depot, a project run by the Koninklijke Bibliotheek in The Netherlands. The MoU commits e-Depot to investigate ways of partnership as to secure long-term digital preservation of the research outputs within LIBER libraries.
