Europeana v1.0, a project funded under the eContentplus programme, runs from 1 February 2009 for 30 months and is successor to EDLNet, which finished in March last year. The Europeana’s Annual Report (1 February 2009 – 31 January 2010) is now available online.

The report outlines internal and external accomplishments over the past year e.g. funding, staff, technical infrastructure and content ingestion process - nearly 6 million items have already been ingested and the target is to reach 10 million for the Rhine release!

It also highlights the expansion of Europeana’s active partner network to 180 organisations and our focus on end users. Europeana will work forward, mainly with aggregators of content - either national, or domain - and focus on users.
